CSU-College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) conducted the oath-taking of members of its Program Advisory Board (PAB) who will revise the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) for its undergraduate programs, at the Hiraya Hall, CSU on June 11, 2025

This initiative is relevant to the college’s commitment to continuously enhance its academic programs and internationalization initiatives. The board also ensures that the programs remain aligned with industry demands and societal needs, leading to the production of graduates who are competent, ethical, and future-ready.

The PEOs are shaped by CSU’s mission and core values, enriched by faculty input, and guided by insights from professionals and alumni, who bring real-world perspectives into curriculum development.

The members of the PAB included Dr. Jackelou S. Mapa, President of PSITE-Caraga; Hon. Mario P. Cuñado, DICT-Caraga Regional Director; Hon. Cristina Hemady R. Arcillas, President of BCCFI; and Hon. Cherry May G. Busa, President of the ICT Council. Representing the alumni were Hon. Jovanie C. Valdez (BSCS), Hon. Michel B. Valdez (BSIT), and Hon. Angelito U. Cagulada (BSIS), while Hon. Klinth Jerald L. Matugas, Governor of ACCISS, served as representative of the students.

University President Rolyn C. Daguil, PhD, graced the event, together with Vice President for Academic Affairs Vicente A. Pitogo, DIT, Graduate School Dean Junrie B. Matias, DIT, and CCIS Dean Jaymer M. Jayoma, DIT.

The newly inducted PAB members are now part of a vital advisory body that will help shape the direction of CCIS’s academic programs by aligning educational outcomes with industry trends, graduate capabilities, and societal expectations.
