To strengthen global exposure and academic collaboration, Caraga State University sent 38 students and 18 faculty members to Thailand for a series of lectures at the Science Silpakorn International Summer School hosted by Silpakorn University (SU) from April to June 2025.

The annual summer school offered short courses across diverse disciplines including Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computing, Microbiology, and Statistics. The program also provided support for travel, registration, accommodation, and meals.

CSU delegates participated in specialized sessions such as Diversity of Flowering Plants (Biology), Microbiology Masterclass, Drying for a Wonderful Life (Physics), Exploration of Embedded Systems with Block-Based Microcontroller Programming (Computing), and Gamifying Stats (Statistics).

The 38 participating Golden Paddlers came from the College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (CMNS), College of Education (CEd), and College of Computing and Information Science (CCIS), accompanied by 18 faculty members.

This international engagement is relevant to CSU’s continuous efforts to extend learning opportunities and partnerships to students and faculty.
