Golden Paddlers dominate in regional engineering pitching contest awards

Electronics and geodetic engineering students from Caraga State University won the championship, 2nd, and 4th runners-up in the regional pitching contest hosted by the Association of Caraga Educators for Geology, Architecture, Technology, and Engineering (ACE for GATE) on November 14-16 in Surigao City.
Out of the 34 concepts from various higher education institutions in the region, the following three concepts from CSU College of Engineering and Geosciences made it to the top five:
Champion: Klimatic Automation using Precision for Agricultural Sustainability (KAUPAS)
Members: Paul Kenneth Minoza, Claire Danes Suralta, and John Willmarf Tiu
2nd runner-up: Agri360
Members: Desiree Chavez, Jay-R Makiling, and Jasper Obedencio
4th runner-up: Automated Monitoring and Intelligence Network for Advanced Hauling and Navigation in Mining Operations (A-MINAHAN)
Members: Paul Kenneth Minoza, Claire Danes Suralta, and John Willmarf Tiu
This achievement reflects the university’s high regard for innovation development that can potentially contribute to the region’s development.
