To help address the demand for additional classrooms caused by the enrollment surge, a new 6-classroom building is on the way at the main campus, with site excavation starting in January this year.

Caraga State University allocated 9 million for the project near the University Library. The university utilizes a “by administration scheme” to lessen overhead costs. It uses its manpower in the construction and pools support from partner agencies, such as the City Government of Butuan, which lent its backhoe and heavy equipment with an operator and fuel support to excavate holes for the foundation of the building.

This project is expected to be completed this year. This development contributes to the ongoing measures of the university to provide conducive classrooms, laboratories, and research facilities for the growing university community. | via NMD/OVPAF, PICO
