Another imprint of CSU’s Performance Excellence has been recorded as the University recently conferred for being a recipient of the Recognition for Proficiency in Quality Management (Level II) under the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) 25th Assessment Cycle.

The Philippine Quality Award is the highest level of national recognition for exemplary organizational performance in both public and private sectors. It was institutionalized through Republic Act No. 9013 on February 28, 2001, also known as the PQA Act, and provides an internationally recognized performance excellence framework and criteria for assessing organizational performance patterned from the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) of the United States (US). Further, Section 11 of this Act indicates that the Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will take the helm as Award Manager with the Center for Industrial Competitiveness as its implementing agency.

The conferment ceremony was held last May 17, 2023, at the Malacañang Palace Guest House.
