Caraga State University joins DOST’s Mindanao-wide conference, exhibiting some of the innovative outputs and technology of its select Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) centers on May 6, 2025, at the Activity Center, HERO Learning Commons.

CSU served as DOST’s venue partner for the Zonal conference, which united researchers, industrial partners, government representatives, and innovators from Regions 11 (Davao), 12 (SOCCSKSARGEN), and 13 (Caraga).

It introduced the Department of Science and Technology’s flagship programs, including the Program PROPEL, which consolidates the department’s resources, services, and facilities to drive groundbreaking research and market-ready solutions, making Philippine innovations globally competitive.

University President Rolyn C. Daguil, PhD, delivered a welcome message emphasizing the university’s “strong environment for research, technology, and innovation anchored in [the] LIKHA Agenda, CSU’s strategic initiative and compass toward achieving global competitiveness.”

Among the featured technologies from CSU are Mine Gears, CREATE, MARVEL, Black Native Chicken project, Food Innovation Products, and innovation hubs, such as Navigatu (Technology Business Incubator) and MapX.

CSU’s participation in the conference is both a showcase and manifestation of the university’s commitment to the “advancement in the fields of data science, environmental studies, sustainable development, and technology, and creating innovative, sustainable, and socially responsible solutions to address the challenges of today and tomorrow.”
