Empowering students to lead innovation and commercialization, Caraga State University-Technology Business Incubation Unit led the PAGSANYOG 2025, a university-wide pitching competition for students to propose solutions to relevant real-world problems and develop viable venture ideas. 

Celebrating the region’s immense pool of innovation, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) launched the first National Innovation Day in Caraga on April 21, 2025, featuring select innovation facilities at Caraga State University.

Caraga State University (CSU) achieved a significant milestone this January, with 600 Scopus-indexed publications. Notably, 234 of these publications were achieved in the last two years, from January 2023 to January 2025, a clear testament to CSU’s accelerated growth and relentless pursuit of advancing research and international engagements.

An innovative, artificial intelligence-powered stroke detection system project of BS Information Technology (IT) students from Caraga State University Information won 3rd runner-up in the Philippine Startup Challenge National Competition on December 3, 2024.

The College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) team comprises Francis John Saul Tin-ao, Rhea Bete, and Angelo Galope, mentored by James Earl Cubillas. Their project aims to provide faster and cost-effective diagnosis for stroke patients, addressing a critical healthcare gap.

Committed to enhancing the quality and impact of its research and extension initiatives, the Caraga State University conducted a Research, Development, Innovation, and Extension (RDIE) In-house Review, gathering its esteemed researchers and project staff on September 10-11.
