Office of Student Internship Programs
About the Office
The Office of the Student Internship Program (OSIP) at Caraga State University (CSU) facilitates internship placements, ensuring students acquire practical experience relevant to their academic programs. OSIP collaborates with industry partners, government agencies, and institutions to offer quality training opportunities that enhance students’ skills and employability. Additionally, it oversees compliance with internship policies, monitors student progress, and supports initiatives for professional development.
Mandate
The Office of the Student Internship Program (OSIP) aligns with the University’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values, guided by Ched Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 104, s. 2017, “Revised Guidelines for Student Internship Program in the Philippines (SIPP) for all Programs,” and CMO No. 10, s. 2023, “Enhanced Policies, Standards and Guidelines (PSGs) on Student Internship Abroad Program.” The primary objective of the OSIP is to provide students with invaluable opportunities to enhance their skills, develop a professional work ethic, and gain practical experience in real-world work environments during their internships. We aim to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application by enabling students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired through formal education.
In our commitment to ensuring the effectiveness and smooth operation of the Student Internship Program, seven (7) Student Internship Program (SIP) coordinators are assigned to facilitate internships within specific colleges (Figure 1). These coordinators serve as vital student resources, providing guidance and assistance in processing and submitting the necessary documents for On-the-Job Training/Practicum/Internship programs. The OSIP is committed to fostering and enhancing the professional development of students by offering comprehensive support and guidance throughout their internship programs.
