Pursuant to Republic Act 11037 otherwise known as “Masustansyang Pagkain sa Bawat Pilipino Act” and the National Feeding Program, Caraga State University partnered with the Department of Education and Central Mindanao University- Philippine Carabao Center for a Milk Feeding Program to all of the 19, 853 elementary pupils in Agusan del Norte and Surigao del Norte.
An exemplary deed worth commending was shown by Ms. Lilian Billones, an agency-based (UFSCWA) utility worker of the Caraga State University. Ms. Billiones found a small amount of one thousand, six hundred pesos (1,600.00) cash while sweeping in front of the New Administration Building last March 1, 2021. She immediately went to the Office of the Security and Safety Services for lost and found report.
CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso with other university executives and the Commission on Audit Assistant Regional Director Matthew Rey M. Magno and his team, Resident Auditor for CSU, Ms. Eda Christine T. Jamolod, who is also the Audit Team Leader with Mary Bridgette A. Tanjay and Saidali A. Delama as members, met on virtual Exit Conference on February 26, 2021.
Mathematics researchers of the university put their minds together to uncover the challenging situations associated with the COVID-19 distribution in Caraga Region; dubbed as UnCOVER Caraga 2020 Program. The research program is funded by the DOST-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD), which commenced on November 2020.
Engr. Meriam Makinano-Santillan, a Caraga State University alumna and Dean of the College of Engineering and Geoscience (CEGS) of the University sparkled in the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science last February 11, 2021. She was featured in the DOST Science Journo as one good female influencer in Science and Technology.
