The pandemic cannot stop Caraga State University President, Dr. Anthony Makinano Penaso in CSU’s journey to excellence. His winning streak continues. Recently, he earned a gamut of awards from different respectable award giving institutions.
Despite the persisting perils of the COVID-19 pandemic in the University, the Records Management Office under the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance successfully conducted a two-day virtual Seminar-Workshop on Archives Administration last June 22-23, 2021, via Google Meet.
CSU University Days is usually celebrated on February 14, the day when the then Governor General for the Philippines Francis Burton Harrison signed Proclamation No. 4, declaring a 232 hectares virgin forest land in Ampayon for school purposes on February 14, 1920.
May 18, 2021, right after his 2020 State of the University Address (SUnA), CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso was bestowed with the First HART Award by the Heirs of the former Assemblyman Antonio Rosales Tupaz who was responsible for the conversion of the then Northern Mindanao Agricultural College (NORMINAC) to the then Northern Mindanao Institute of Science and Technology (NORMISIST). CSU President Penaso received the Award of Distinction with his wife Madam Abigail Noemis T. Penaso and children Abelliane, Allyson, and Allister.
Splendid in his champagne barong, CSU President Anthony M. Penaso delivered his 2020 State of the University Address (SUna) at a calculated distance from a controlled small crowd of key officials, select stakeholders and development partners at the Pavillion, Watergate Hotel on May 18, 2021. Everyone were donned in Filipiniana attire with matching face masks, face shields, and physically distanced. Also present were the CSU first lady madam Abigail Noemis T. Penaso and the Penaso children.
