After going through the rigorous search and selection process, Caraga State University finally appointed a new university cashier last February 15, 2023. Amongst the roster of qualified applicants, Certified Public Accountant Jay T. Punayan has been selected by the university Board of Regents as Administrative Officer V (Cashier III).

Research Triangle Institute (RTI) International and Caraga State University through the Department of Environmental Science officially sealed a research partnership to collaborate on the valuation of ecosystem services (ES) and on the establishment of natural capital accounts in the Siargao Island Protected Landscape and Seascape (SIPLAS) sites.
