In a gesture of support for the education sector, Congressman Jose "Joboy" Aquino has donated two (2) grass cutters to the Caraga State University (CSU) Butuan Campus.

Last October 17, 2022, marked the opening of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) accreditation virtual survey visit in CSU. Ten curricular programs of the Caraga State University underwent accreditation to get to Levels I, II, III, and IV accreditation.

Caraga State University undergoes extensive Institutional Monitoring and Evaluation by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region XIII. The Institutional Monitoring and Evaluation by CHED was openly and warmly welcomed by the CSU family led by its University President, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil.
