Celebrating the region’s immense pool of innovation, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) launched the first National Innovation Day in Caraga on April 21, 2025, featuring select innovation facilities at Caraga State University.

Cadet Colonel Francis Elli Caliguid 1CL, a Forestry student and Corps Commander of Caraga State University—Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC), is among the eight delegates from the Philippines who will attend the ROTC-Cultural Understanding and Leadership Program in Hawaii, USA.

Exemplifying this goal is Associate Professor John Mark Ramada, a faculty member of the College of Agriculture and Agri-Industries (CAA), who is pursuing his doctoral degree in Animal Science at Kasetsart University, Thailand’s first and largest agricultural school renowned worldwide.

Caraga State University is proud to recognize its top-performing faculty researchers based on Scopus-indexed publications from 2010 to 2025, ranked by h-index—a trusted and comprehensive measure of research productivity and scholarly impact.

The h-index is widely used in academia to measure a researcher's productivity and citation impact. It indicates the number of publications a researcher has and how many times they have been cited. 

Caraga State University achieved another milestone with the Palladium Award conferred by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), the highest distinction for exceptional achievements and performance of Innovation and Technology Support Offices (ITSOs) in the Philippines.
