The university has achieved yet another significant milestone in its pursuit of academic excellence! Guided by CHED Commissioner Jo Mark M. Libre, CSU received substantial funding of 10 million pesos from the Commission on Higher Education - Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (CHED-IDIG) Program. This achievement is credited to the joint efforts of CSU President Dr. Rolyn Daguil, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Alexander Demetillo, and other university officials.
The pedestal that the university stands on remains high, as it ranked 1st in Caraga and 48th in the entire Philippines out of 367 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This is based on the newly-released Webometrics’ July 2023 publication for its Ranking of World Universities by the Cybermetrics Lab. CSU is also the only HEI in Caraga included in the top 100.
A total of 11 colleges from both campuses of Caraga State University presented their undergraduate curricular programs to the Commission on Higher Education – Caraga Region last Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the New Administration Building’s Conference Hall. This initiative ensures that CSU’s programs are compliant with CHED Memorandum Orders (CMOs) and other guidelines, well-prepared, current, and tailored to the changing needs of the labor market and society.
CSU’s Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in partnership with the region’s Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), highlighted gender perspective in response management as it commenced its National Disaster Month Training on Gender Perspective Response Management with the CSU Disaster Risk Reduction Management (CSU-DRRM) Core Group, Unit Heads, Directors, and college representatives.
A day to win 'yeses' was flagged by President Daguil and CHED Commissioner Libre through a groundbreaking meeting with Agusan del Norte's District 1 Representative, Honorable Jose "Joboy" S. Aquino II, and Special Assistant to the President (SAP), Hon. Antonio Ernesto "Anton" F. Lagdameo Jr. at the Malacañang Palace. One major plan was laid to the table: the ways forward for the proposed College of Medicine program at Caraga State University.
