CCGeo launches GEO-STEMS with international experts in geospatial technologies

Butuan City, August 9, 2024 — The Caraga Center for Geo-informatics (CCGeo), in collaboration with the Department of Geodetic Engineering from the College of Engineering and Geosciences (CEGS) and the College of Agriculture and Agri-industries (CAA), successfully launched the first Geo-Spatial Technologies for Earth Monitoring Symposium (GEO-STEMS) 2024. The event occurred at the HERO Learning Commons auditorium of Caraga State University (CSU).

CSU, DSWD-Caraga forge partnership for Sustainable Livelihood Program

The Caraga State University (CSU) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development - Field Office Caraga (DSWD - FO Caraga) joined forces to bolster the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 9, 2024, at Dotties Place Hotel, Butuan City.

CSU hosts fiscal meeting with DBM, CHED, Caraga SUCs

The Caraga State University (CSU) hosted the Third Quarter Full-Time Delivery Unit (FDU) meeting yesterday, August 8, 2024, with executives from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the four State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) of the Caraga region.

CSU now 42nd in Webometrics' ranking of PH universities

In the July 2024 publication of Webometrics' Ranking of World Universities by the Cybermetrics Lab, the Caraga State University (CSU) climbed to the 42nd spot out of 364 Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), improving from its previous rank of 48th last year.

The university achieved an Impact Rank of 14574, an Openness Rank of 5339, and an Excellence Rank of 6000. This accomplishment also cements CSU's status as the top university in Caraga based on the ranking.

Golden Paddlers among finalists in BPI-DOST innovation contest

Three BS in Information Technology students of Caraga State University advanced to the final round of the BPI-DOST Innovation Awards 2024, a competition aiming to help resolve community issues through science, technology, and innovation.

Golden Paddlers Rhea M. Bete, Angelo A. Galope, and Francis John Saul M. Tin-ao of the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) earned 60,000 as a cash prize. The trio will present their final project in the awarding ceremony in Makati City this December.
